So went part of the lyrics of Alan Parson’s 1978 number – “What Goes Up”.

Sometime earlier that year, I had won a couple of music contests in the local Sunday Star. One of them happened to be Parsons’ “Pyramid” album.

The double album’s artwork was mesmerizing. With its lyrics alluding to the mysterious pyramids of Giza, throw in some philosophy, science, space and time for good measure. Needless to say, I was utterly spellbound.
